DYANGO
Born in 1996 in Hoorn and raised in an environment with little affinity for hip hop, DYANGO taught himself what it means to follow his own path and become an independent artist. This proved to be a significant challenge, particularly as a boy of migrant background growing up in a monocultural environment. He spent a long time struggling with societal and social expectations that felt like obligations necessary for survival. At the same time, he sensed that something in the world was off—an unease he couldn’t fully explain. This feeling inspired him at a young age to begin writing poetry and rap.

In 2023, he began developing his debut EP with established Dutch and Belgian artists such as $KEER&BOO$, Berry, and Dookie. This Dutch-language EP, LIEVER NIET AFHANKELYK VAN, was released in late 2024. The project reflects the path DYANGO has taken, featuring raw, hard-hitting productions and a strong emphasis on collaboration.
Alongside this, he has performed over eighty shows at venues including Paradiso, AFAS LIVE, and various festivals. Through these experiences, DYANGO has grown into a seasoned artist with a strong image and extensive experience across all aspects of being an artist.
The mission behind the project is rooted in togetherness, respect, passion, and growth. Driven by these values, the goal is to create a harmonious environment with others—one where people can unapologetically be themselves, make the music they truly want to hear, and give something meaningful back to the world.
