A WALLPLUG PROJECT - DAYS LIKE THESE 2025
DAYS LIKE THESE is an album capturing the old and flipping it in a new way, giving you nostalgic aesthetics but still feeling very refreshing. The production started early 2025 with Tommie & Mees doing a couple of studio sessions together. This quickly spiraled into a full Wallplug project once Onno got involved and, together with Jake, took charge of the styling. With this sample-heavy album, Wallplug brought the DAYS LIKE THESE atmosphere to its listeners and fans through unique release parties and shows. Combined with the strong videoclips this album colored the summer of 2025 for Wallplug. With it's release introducing Mees as a new artist to join the Wallplug collective together with Jake who's skills lay in the fashion world.

The album is heavily inspired on sampling straight from digging vinyl records. With Mees working in a vinyl store for a couple years, he had a good collection of great vinyl to sample and with Tommie his knowledge on how to flip a record, they got to work.
With Tommie's writing, producing and recording skills and Mees his skills on the guitar, bass and other instruments they crafted a big bag of demo's within a couple months. After realising what they had going on, they decided together with Onno that this should be an album. The name "DAYS LIKE THESE" describing the feeling perfectly. As what they were doing was exactly what they all wanted to do; create music, make good memories, perform live, eat good food, challange your skills, see your friends and just have a good time. Those are the DAYS LIKE THESE.

WALLPLUG VOL.1

With Wallplug Vol. 1, the group showed that it is more than just a collection of artists: it’s a movement. The tape sounds like a mosaic of hip-hop and pop, with touches of funk, R&B and Soul mixed throughout. Delivering sharp statements straight from the heart of a critical generation.

*MORE ABOUT VOL.1
Wallplug Vol. 1 is a hip-hop album released by Wallplug Records on January 26, 2024. It’s the debut compilation from Wallplug, a music and art collective based in Hoorn, Netherlands. The project brings together five core artists of the collective (Tommie Rose, Ra’s Vertigo, DYANGO, tays & Tessa Rose) in a showcase of their collaborative and solo work. The album was issued on streaming platforms and as a limited-edition vinyl (140-gram eco-friendly pressing by Deep Grooves, limited to 300 copies). Tracklist & Artists Wallplug Vol. 1 contains 15 tracks, with contributions from all five main artists. Eerste Steen – Wallplug (intro) Grote Kooien, Rare Vogels – DYANGO, Tommie Rose, Tessa Rose & Ra’s Vertigo Heer & Meester – DYANGO, tays & Cuz Slag Om Het Arm – Tommie Rose, Tessa Rose, tays, DYANGO & Ra’s Vertigo Roos (Skit) – (spoken interlude) Noodlijn – Tessa Rose Volg De Hand Die Me Voedt – DYANGO Baanbrekend – Tommie Rose & tays Small Town Boy – Tommie Rose Bloesem – Ra’s Vertigo, DYANGO, tays, Tommie Rose & Tessa Rose Lierie (Skit) – (spoken interlude) Fine Line – Tommie Rose, Tessa Rose & tays Days – Tessa Rose & Ra’s Vertigo Carbon Copy – Ra’s Vertigo Niks Nodig – DYANGO, Tommie Rose, Tessa Rose, Ra’s Vertigo & tays Each track showcases different combinations of the collective’s members. For example, “Fine Line” was the first single released by Wallplug Records in 2023, featuring Tommie Rose, Tessa Rose and tays. “Days” followed as the second single, highlighting Tessa Rose and Ra’s Vertigo. Other songs like “Bloesem” and “Niks Nodig” unite all five artists on one track, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the album. Contributing Artists Tessa Rose – A Dutch singer, producer and rapper, Tessa Rose is known as a member of the Wallplug collective until 2025 and has also joined the Rafting Goods hip-hop collective in 2025. She blends classic boom-bap influences with soulful vocals in her music. Tessa’s voice is featured prominently on Wallplug Vol. 1 (including solo track “Noodlijn”), and she has appeared on compilations like Rafting Goods Volume 3 and the album Haute Culture by Tim Beumers. DYANGO – DYANGO is a Dutch-born rapper, producer, songwriter, and performer. He emerged in the hip-hop scene around 2020. In 2022 he started doing live shows with his good friend tays and met the Wallplug collective at their show on the 5th of november 2022. Quickly after that he started collaborating heavily with the collective. On Wallplug Vol. 1 he delivers gritty Dutch rap verses and even some production input. Following the album, DYANGO prepared for his solo debut EP (titled LIEVER NIET AFHANKELYK VAN), showcasing some of its tracks in live sessions. His work on the collective’s album and beyond positions him as a driving force in the group’s creative output. tays – tays (Taysier El-Sayed) is a rapper, producer and singer. Prior to the compilation, he had already released a solo album “kwestie van tays”, establishing himself in the Dutch scene. He contributed verses to tracks like “Fine Line” on Wallplug Vol. 1, and also pairs with Tommie Rose on the jazzy “Baanbrekend.” A Pokoe Magazine feature introduced tays as a key Wallplug member with a distinctive style and noted his solo work. His blend of confident “bars and a catchy refrain” on Vol. 1 tracks showcases his mainstream appeal. Ra’s Vertigo – Ra’s Vertigo is a rapper, singer and producer known for his introspective lyrics and dark, melodic and experimental style. After releasing singles like “Skitta” and the EP “ICARUS” in 2022 he developed his style. On Wallplug Vol. 1, Ra’s Vertigo shows his versatility to the fullest. His artistic persona adds a moody, conscious dimension to the collective’s work. Tommie Rose – Tommie Rose is a rapper, singer and producer from Hoorn, and a founding member of Wallplug Records. Tommie is arguably the sonic architect of Wallplug Vol. 1 – he executive produced, co-produced and mixed many tracks and performs on several songs. He frequently appears both behind the boards and on the mic: delivering verses in Dutch and English, and hook vocals throughout the album. Production & Songwriting Credits Wallplug Vol. 1 was a collaborative effort not just in performance, but in songwriting and production. All five core artists share writing credits on the group tracks, and each contributed lyrics to the songs they perform (the album’s lyrics are primarily in Dutch). Some noteworthy production and songwriting credits per track include: “Grote Kooien, Rare Vogels” – Produced by Owen Vos. This track features songwriting from DYANGO, Tommie Rose, Tessa Rose & Ra’s Vertigo. “Heer & Meester” – Produced by CUZ, who provides a hard-hitting instrumental for DYANGO and tays. Heer & Meester is one of the few tracks with an outside producer. Songwriting by DYANGO and tays. “Slag Om Het Arm” – Produced by Owen Vos. With songwriting credits from Tommie Rose, Tessa Rose, tays, DYANGO and Ra’s Vertigo. “Noodlijn” – Produced by Tessa Rose. In 2025, we collaborated with a group of visual artists from the Netherlands to explore the space where music and visual art collide, album covers. Participating artists included Laser 3.14, Ottograph, Botox, York One, Jaap Stiemer, STHOM, and Onno Roos.
Each artist received copies of the Wallplug Vol. 1 vinyl and was given complete creative freedom to transform the record in any way they felt was right.
The result was a collection of one-of-a-kind, vinyl records, each functioning as both a playable object and an autonomous artwork. The pieces were later released through an online auction, allowing collectors and supporters to own a singular interpretation of Wallplug Vol. 1.

SYMBIOSIS
GROUPS EXHIBITION
Amsterdam, Vrijpaleis. 2024
In october 2024, Wallplug collaborated with Gallery Barkie to host an exhibition at Vrijpaleis, Paleisstraat, Amsterdam. A true place of culture, the perfect place for us to bring together music & visual art.

Symbiosis explored the relationship between different artistic disciplines, cultures, and individual voices. The exhibition brought together a diverse group of visual artists, each contributing work that stood on its own while simultaneously interacting with the surrounding space and other practices. Participating visual artists included Onno Roos, STHOM,
Ard Doko, Barkie, Sames, Jaime Adan, Perzia, Tom Kiewra, Kasper Steernberg, Heru Widodo, Heru Priyono, Dennis Fandango & Cutnotslices.
Live performance by Wallplug with Tessa Rose, tays, DYANGO, Tommie Rose, and Ra's Vertigo and with the opening performance by Alexander Moto.

Symbiosis means living together. It describes a relationship in which different organisms, ideas, or systems coexist and influence one another in a way that strengthens the whole. This idea directly mirrors the core of Wallplug: a platform where music and art are not treated as separate disciplines, but as elements that can grow stronger through interaction.
To us this is a great example of
what we aim to do, create that world
where art & music collide
and to bring it to the people.

EP
kom is dromen
Tommie Rose & tays
The new EP kom is dromen by tays, in collaboration with Tommie Rose, feels like an ode to youth and the inevitable doubts that come with it. Although the EP lasts only fifteen minutes, every track adds a new dimension to the short film tays and Tommie Rose have constructed for you. The title track, kom is dromen, feels like a funky trip in an old Kia with your best friends through a summer night. It paints a picture of carefree friendship, while capturing the desire to chase your dreams without losing yourself or breaking too much along the way. On the following track, de franse, tays and Tommie Rose showcase their musical versatility. It feels as if a French film noir is guiding you through introspective lyrics, beautiful instrumental licks, and brass arrangements.
This is summer captured in three-minute tracks. It’s impressive how, in such a short time, tays and Tommie Rose find space for an ode to friendship, a serenade to a blossoming love, and reflections on when true contentment is found. Each song is interconnected, yet functions as its own scene. Through sincere lyrics that beautifully articulate their innermost thoughts and doubts, kom is dromen feels like a seed newly planted, far from its full bloom. A seed nourished by uncertainty and the process of trial and error. But as tays strikingly puts it: "I am falling, but even falling is good." 3voor12

DUSK 'N
DAWN
Ra's Vertigo
Released on March 29th, 2024, the Dusk 'n Dawn EP is a definitive collaboration between Ra's Vertigo and owenonthebeat. The project serves as a masterclass in synergy, blending Owen’s signature atmospheric progressions with Ra's Vertigo’s innate ability to craft captivating, deeply resonant songs. It stands as a true time capsule, depicting the peak capabilities of both artists at the moment of its creation.
The sonic identity of the tape was meticulously shaped through close collaboration with Tommie Rose. Spending countless studio sessions obsessing over the details focusing purely on creating unique auditory moments and textures that set the record apart from traditional releases. This dedication resulted in a soundscape that feels cohesive.

PARADISO
Paradiso, Amsterdam.
Wallplug hit the Paradiso Bovenzaal on Dec 29, 2023, for The Netwrk. Buggin’ Out Collective brought the whole scene together to celebrate hip-hop in Amsterdam. The line-up was fire and you could feel the community’s energy everywhere. With Wallplug & Ra's Vertigo's single "Carbon Copy" dropping that same day and the debut album just around the corner, Wallplug turned the place upside down and showed exactly why they belong in this game. Nothing but love for the music and the new connections made that night.

POP -UP
GALLERY
Prinsengracht, Amsterdam.
The pop-up gallery on Prinsengracht marked the first time we truly tried to combine art and music.
The project came together through Barkie, cousin of Ra, who had previously attended several live shows. Recognizing the vision, Barkie offered the use of his gallery space on Prinsengracht opening the door to an experiment that would shape Wallplug.
At the time, with the group consisting of Tessa Rose, tays, DYANGO, Tommie Rose, and Ra's Vertigo, in the middle of creating the Wallplug Vol. 1 Album, there was an exciting energy on stage.
With Onno Roos bringing other visual artists STHOM and Milan Nowak into the space, the gallery filled naturally with art, clothing, and music.
It was here that we realized this is what we love to do most.
