Admiraal presents a figure at once authoritative and unsettling. The portrait recalls the conventions of military power; epaulettes, medals, rigid posture. The face seems masked, or cut up, one side rendered as an X-ray, the other as a scan of neural structures beneath the skin. The headset completes the hybrid identity, situating the figure somewhere between commander and cyborg, soldier and signal.

A hand raised in a gesture that hovers between blessing and command. Against the flat, sterile blue of the background, the figure seems suspended, stripped of context, hovering as an emblem rather than a person. It's an allegory for religious and military power, a personification of authority; detached, ritualized and performative.
